Swimming Lessons

 This year we decided to go to Mesa and do swimming lesson with cousins. MaChel raved about their teacher Sharrise and how quickly the kids pick up on swimming. Well I can now attest to it. Hyrum is swimming all on his own and doing fabulous! It was so great for him because it instilled in him confidence. For his birthday he has said he wants to go swimming so he can show daddy how he can do it all on his own!

 The jumping board was every Thursday (it was a two week session) and the kids looked forward to it both weeks! Hyrum says his favorite jump is the "pencil" jump!

 Adam did pretty good too. He had a hard time for quite awhile but I felt like he learned so much and he isn't afraid of the water. He still needs to learn to kick and that will be our goal to practice over the next year.

 I think the funniest part was that every time the teacher came to get Adam for his time he would start screaming, "monkey walks, monkey walks." He knew that if he could monkey walk he wouldn't have to get his head under water. Luckily Sharrise is very persistent and didn't allow him to get his way.

 During our time at swimming lessons we went to the mall for "kids club." It is so awesome! They have entertainment and then afterward everyone gets a free ride on the carousel. This week their was a Magician. And he asked for those whose birthdays it was this week! Hyrum got to go on stage! He had so much fun waving the wand and making magic!
