MaChel is really good at finding us awesome deals and she found this! Greer lodges was on a groupon and we decided it was worth every penny. We loved it so much. We stayed in a really nice lodge for half the price and it was so relaxing. All the amenities were completely free. They had bikes, fishing, free movie rentals, board games, any outdoor activity you could think of, they had it.
The daddys and kids went fishing one of the afternoon and somehow Hyrum and Hannah got a hold of my camera. When I uploaded all my pictures I found these. It was quite a hilarious moment for me. They are such silly kids.
So on our vacation I figured out that I had fifths disease. Pretty funny story actually. The few days before we left I was really swollen in my ankles and wrists. They even started to hurt quite a bit. I just thought I was retaining water. It was the strangest thing. So one morning on our trip Mike googled my symptoms and it hit him and he looks at me and said, "Ashley I think you have rheumatoid arthritis. You have all the symptoms." My response, "You have got to be kidding me, arthritis at my age." Then it dawned on me. Hyrums preschool teacher told me that Hyrum had "slap face" or in other words "fifths disease." He had a terrible rash on his face that literally looked like someone slapped him. So I asked Mike to google the symptoms for that and one of the first things it said was "arthritis like symptoms"....THANK GOODNESS! I just took it super easy the next few days and my soreness and swelling was gone in one week. Adam also got the rash a few days later but I never had a rash just the boys. Its much better to get it as a kid than an adult. And once you have had it you won't get it again!! And we are glad its over with.
