Mike's B-Day

For Mike's birthday he decided the thing he wanted to do the most, was run a half marathon! He's Crazy!!! He did very well though and I think he enjoyed it. He mentioned that he thinks he would have done better if he was still 23 (just a day before he was 23). The race was in flagstaff and the night before we went and stayed at the Williams KOA (free of charge might I add). It was a fun small vacation. It was so gorgeous up there, it felt like I was in Idaho again.

Ok! Here is the story of the cake. I am not a cake decorater by any means. I had this green frosting writing that I needed to use up. So I have an attempted basketball on the far left if you couldn't tell what it was. The is also a "started" border that didn't get finished because the frosting had run out. And last but not least (if you haven't caught it yet) I spelled the word HABBY instead of Happy. I just make the exhuse that I was trying to spell Hubby, I suppose. Anyway, to make a long story short it has been a long day for us and for most of you that know me really well I really didn't care!!!! It tasted great!!!

Little Hyrum was so good at the race. It was very cold that morning in the mountains, so I put his hand in his pockets and he kept them in there for a long time. I was quite impressed.

Coming in for the finish! Mike ended up taking 10th over all. I was very impressed. He is a wonderful father and husband. And might I add, very crazy for wanting to run a half-marathon on his birthday!!!
