We had another field trip for the kids. This time we went to the police helicopter rescue. I think this one was a big highlight. He let every kid go inside the helicopter and pretend they were the ones being rescued. Hyrum pretended to be dead. He stuck out his tongue and closed his eyes....silly kids. No thanks Hyrum we love having you alive!
He explained how they help in fire rescue, those who have been lost, those who need help through injuries, and flood rescues.
Then right next door the helicopter was a fire station. And without even having an appointment they let us go over and check out all their cool gear.

Sliding down the fire pole! They actually said they don't use this very frequently because firefighters have sprained their ankles. I thought that was a funny fact.
Adam wasn't quite sure what to do.
Then they got to try on all their gear. It was alot heavier than the kids anticipated.
The firetruck will were huge. It was out at the airport so it wasn't a normal firetruck. It was HUGE!
